May 23rd-September 1st: Rock the Mountain at the Outlets at Castle Rock

This summer is going to be ROCKIN’ at the Outlets at Castle Rock!

The Outlets at Castle Rock is thrilled to bring back live and local entertainment for the third year in a row in our East 4th Street Courtyard (next to H&M)!

New this year: Family Fun Fridays (12 to 2 p.m.) featuring FREE kid-friendly activities and fun for all ages!

Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day brings good vibes, great music, and tasty food trucks on select weekends. It’s the perfect time to shop, groove, and enjoy summer at its finest!

June 4th: Free Summer Trolley Rides

Grab the kids, grab the grandparents, grab a friend and come on down to enjoy a free trolley ride on the Castle Rock Trolley.  

We hope that you will enjoy a meal, do some shopping or find some fun on your visit to Downtown Castle Rock.  The small businesses that call Downtown Castle Rock home appreciate your support and seek to make your visit a memorable one

June 6th: First Fridays – Those Crazy Nights: Journey Reimagined

Head to Festival Park on the first Friday of each month, June through August, to enjoy free live music, a free family 5K, food trucks, cocktails and kids’ activities.

Get a workout with the family before enjoying the concert with the First Fridays 5K. These unofficially timed runs / walks start at 5:30 p.m. at Festival Park.

Note: First Fridays 5K races are free, but a waiver is required.

June 13th: Car Show Street Party & Concert

Kick off the 16th Annual Classic Rock Cruise in Car Show Weekend with a Friday evening free concert! Participants can check out over 50 cars on display by members of The Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock

June 14th: Climb4Change

This unique racing event offers several timed races on the 200-step Challenge Hill at Philip S. Miller Park. Participants ascend 178 feet in each of the four challenges. There is also a non-timed fun run / walk that families can enjoy on their own anywhere in the park.

Whether you’re looking to be a part of something or trying to change things up, Climb4Change is the perfect solution. Proceeds from this event benefit the Town’s Therapeutic Recreation program to provide scholarships, purchase adaptive equipment and give access to a wide variety of activities for adults and children with cognitive and physical disabilities.

To track attendance, everyone present, including children, must be registered. Children under age 5 are free. Register for the 2025 event.

June 14th: 16th Annual Classic Rock Cruise in Car Show

A Father’s Day weekend tradition in Downtown Castle Rock.

The streets of historic Downtown are shut down and turned into a showplace for over 300 cars, trucks and specialty vehicles. The 16th Annual Classic Rock Cruise In Car Show Weekend has something for everyone – cars, shops, live bands, food trucks, restaurants, local breweries, free attractions for the kids, and a variety of vendor booths.  Kids attractions include free bounce houses, free face painters, free rock wall, music, ice cream and fun

June 18th: South Metro Water Festival

Water is never a dry topic and we’d like to prove it too with a splashing good time

Our South Metro water organizations are hosting a festival to showcase all things water. Check out the internal workings of a toilet—and see how to fix that flapper. Find out where your water comes from—and why it’s important. How do we not get washed away in our watershed? Get to ask experts about ColoradoScaping your yard. Did you know you could use your water meter to see if you have a leak? There will be science experiments, songs and other interactive events to “wet” your appetite. There will be food vendors too. Geared toward the kids, but fun for everyone. Plus, the Come for the Water, Stay for the Beer After-Party, 6 to 8 p.m.

June 21st: Outdoor Summer Fest at the Outlets at Castle Rock

Get ready for a day packed with excitement and adventure! Enjoy live music from local talent while exploring a range of activities for the whole family. Test your skills on the climbing wall, sponsored by Columbia Factory Store, prAna, and SOREL, or challenge your balance on the high-tech Robo Snowboarder, courtesy of Arc’teryx. Hang tight on the classic mechanical bull, sponsored by Ariat, or perfect your swing with the Dryvebox Golf Simulator. Kids will love the Bubble Discovery Zone, face painting, and games, while everyone can indulge in tasty treats from local food trucks. June 21st: Summer Concert Series – Sugar Ray with special guest Dylan Cotrone

Nestled in the beautiful setting of Philip S. Miller Park, the Amphitheater has become one of the most sought-after live music venues along the Front Range. The series has hosted dozens of Grammy-nominated, world-famous artists and has made Castle Rock a musical hotspot. These ticketed music events have truly become a signature part of summers in the community.

June 25th: Bike to Work Day 2025

Bike to Work Day is an annual event in Castle Rock that encourages residents and workers to embrace active transportation by biking to work. This event promotes healthier lifestyles, reduces traffic congestion and improves air quality. Participants not only benefit from improved personal fitness and lower stress levels but also save money on their commutes. While biking is the focus, other forms of sustainable transportation — such as walking, rolling or carpooling — are also encouraged. This year’s Bike to Work Day makes a positive impact on your health and the environment!

June 19th: Tunes for Trails/Perks for Parks Free Concert – Heavy Diamond Ring

Celebrate the summer season with live music, and participate in a good cause with the Tunes for Trails / Perks for Parks free concert series.

Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Food and alcohol will also be available for purchase. No outside beverages are allowed except one factory-sealed water bottle per person.

Recurring Events in The Castle Rock Community

Throughout June, there are several recurring events that are perfect for getting outside and staying active. These events are a great way to enjoy the summer vibes in your community!

Yoga in the Park

Yoga means “union” and when practiced outside, you can experience union with nature, humanity and the universe. Being outside deepens the yoga experience in many ways and helps focus awareness, breathe deeply and practice stillness. These free classes will take place at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park on Sunday mornings (see specific dates below).

Yoga classes are free and registration is not required, but recommended so that you can be notified in case of a weather cancelation.

Festival Park Farmers Market

Don’t miss locally raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, a variety of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, artisan-made products and more from nearly 40 vendors. Support local business and agriculture while getting outside, meeting neighbors and enjoying delicious local fare.

The market opens Memorial Day weekend and runs every Sunday through mid-October.

Jazz in the Park

Each Wednesday of June, July, & August local musicians gather in Festival Park to entertain locals and visitors.

This event is a low key, pop up style event that is intentionally paired down.  There will be no stage, no vendors, no food trucks and no alcohol served in order to create a relaxing laid back vibe.  Small town simplicity at its finest.

While no food service will be available at Festival Park, Jazz in the Park presents a great opportunity to try one of our many downtown restaurants and spend an evening exploring Downtown Castle Rock’s food scene. If you’re short on time, grab dinner to-go and enjoy your meal in Festival Park! 

Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome but we ask guests to be courteous with their neighbor when setting up
